A recent Reuters Poll asking respondents if they would vote Democrat or Republican in the district they live gave a surprising reply to anyone who watches CNN; Republicans outscored Democrats 39% to 36.7%.
This is quite a turnaround from a Reuters/Ipsos Poll only a month ago where Democrats outscored Republicans 45% to 34%.
This 14-point swap can be attributed to multiple factors. The economy is booming, with record highs in the stock market. The tax cuts – that not a single Democrat in the House or Senate voted for – have majority approval amongst those polled.
The Democrats have spent most of the last two weeks defending Hamas and MS-13 in an attempt to attack President Trump.
All of this points to the reality that the highly touted “Blue Wave” will not make landfall in 2018.
